The President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, and the distinguished First Lady, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, have enhanced with their presence the agricultural fair “Green Gold of Congo”, this Saturday 3 October at the National Museum of the DRC (MNRDC).
Initiated by Madame Fanny Tshisekedi, this agro-pastoral event aims to enhance local products in order to encourage local consumption and reduce food imports.
The “Green Gold of Congo” agricultural fair is a program that relies on a modern digital and technological ecosystem to connect local producers to global markets in order to propel the “Made in Congo”.
In the course of her speech, the national coordinator, Ornela Kardozo (DG of Group Choice Holding Company), urged the government to open new opportunities to sustain the activity of Congolese agripreneurs: young entrepreneurs, local producers and vegetable mothers within a single ecosystem integrating production, local transformation and distribution.
Finally, Ms Fanny Tshisekedi thanked the institutions for their support, while calling on them to open up new markets. The strategic ambition is to secure the future of farmers, create sustainable jobs and value Congolese soil resources.
