President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads today to Moscow, Russia, to lead the Egyptian delegation at the third Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled to take place on October 28–29, 2026.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said this is President El-Sisi’s third participation in the Russia-Africa Summit. In the first summit, held in Sochi in October 2019, the President co-chaired the event with the Russian president during Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union. The second Russia-Africa Summit was held in Saint Petersburg in 2023.
The President is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s address during the summit’s plenary session on Thursday morning. President El-Sisi will also hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit, most notably with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
